Tend Your Light

By |June 13th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Colossians 4:5–6 “Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Believers are living in a dying world among lost people! We are called to be a light to those in darkness. If you could sit back and watch yourself through the eyes of those who see you daily, would they see Jesus in your words and actions? It has been said, “this world is not looking for another definition of Christianity, it’s looking for a real demonstration of Christianity! Tend you light my friend!

Do you believe?

JOHN 20:25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”8 Days later::

VS 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”

Do you Believe?

Followed me

By |April 1st, 2016|Uncategorized|

Mt 4:19-20 And He(Jesus) said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.
In Matthew 9, Jesus calls Matthew, ” As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, “Follow Me!” So he got up and followed Him.”
When the Master called His Disciples, they left their old lives behind to follow Jesus! HAVE YOU? No man puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of God.

Spiritual blindness

By |March 31st, 2016|Uncategorized|

John 9:40 Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and asked Him, “We aren’t blind too, are we?”
41 “If you were blind,” Jesus told them, “you wouldn’t have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see’—your sin remains.
Spiritual blindness is very dangerous. In most cases they think they can see and are heading for an eternal fall. It’s a terrible blindness when mortal men and woman are not ashamed to oppose a Holy God!
So many people who consider themselves good Christians or Catholics are giving moral ascent to abominable sins that offend a Holy God. They are walking with an invisible “white cane” and are treading near the pit of eternal destruction!

Repent! Ask God to open your eyes! Ask him to remove any and all blindness He finds right now! If something offends God, it should certainly offend us also!

Man is Corrupt

By |March 30th, 2016|Uncategorized|

We live in a world today that thinks people are basically good. That is a false foundation to stand on.
Psalms 14:1 The fool says in his heart, “God does not exist.”

They are corrupt; they do vile deeds.

There is no one who does good.
Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”
Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
2 Chronicles 6:36 – “there is no one who does not sin”
Isaiah 53:6 – All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way
Man is not basically good. He is corrupt from the word go! In order to be effective for God in reaching the lost, we must understand the truth and man’s dire condition apart from Christ! Let’s get out there and give them….. Heaven!

What time is it?

By |March 29th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Matthew 24:34 and 42 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the sun, but the Father only.”42. “Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”

Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Five minutes before you meet the Lord Face-to-face, what do you wish you would have done differently?

Surrender

By |March 28th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.Total Surrender is the difference between getting “IT” and not getting it or understanding what God’s plan is for you. I speak to so many people who seem lost in their faith. They believe, but they seem unsure of their path. Surrender is the key that unlocks the door of enlightenment! Jump into His Everlasting Arms, trust in Him totally. Then from His Loving Arms you will see His plan unfold from His perspective! Rejoice! You are loved!

Ashamed of Christ?

By |March 26th, 2016|Uncategorized|

John 19:11-12 Jesus answered him, “you would have no power over me unless it has been given you from above; therefore the one who handed Me over is guilty of a greater sin. From that time on Pilate tried to release him, but the Jews cried out if you release this man you’re no friend of Caesars.
Amazing! Pilate had an encounter with Jesus and he wanted to release him. But for fear of the crowd he turned Jesus over to them to be crucified. Many Christians today turn Jesus over when they are pressured by their friends to act in a way that doesn’t glorify Christ! When the pressure from the world is too strong will we will deny Christ! Are you ashamed of Christ? When you’re with your unbelieving friends, are you ashamed of Christ? When temptation to fit in is strong, are you ashamed of Christ?

Were you there?

By |March 25th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Were you there? When we are honest with ourselves, we know that we were there too and that we helped to put Christ there. Because every attitude present on that hilltop that day is present with us now. Every emotion that tugged at human hearts then tugs at human hearts still.

Every face that was there is here too, every voice that shouted then is shouting still. Every human being was represented at Calvary, every sin was in a nail or the point of the spear or the needle-like thorns, and pardon for them all was in the blood that was shed.

Almost 2100 years have passed away, but the rains of the centuries have not yet washed away the blood from the rotting wood of a deserted cross.

Nor have the winds covered Christ’s footprints in the sands of time. Calvary still stands, and you and I erect the cross again and again […]

Holy Thursday

By |March 24th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Matthew 26:26-28 26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you; 28 for this is my blood of the[c] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
His time was nearly over with His disciples. The Passion was only hours away, and Jesus institutes Communion! Then He displays a beautiful example of servant-hood by washing His Followers feet! (John 13) If the King of all kings and Lord of all lords can wash the feet of His disciples, why should any of us think any act of service could be beneath us?
