Do you Believe?

JOHN 20:25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”8 Days later::

VS 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”

A Wicked Crown for a Heavenly Crown

By |March 22nd, 2016|Uncategorized|

John 19:2–3″And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and put a purple robe on Him; They came up to Him again and again and said, “Hail King of the Jews!” And they struck Him repeatedly in the face.” This week, some 2100 years ago, just days before His arrest and suffering, Jesus knew He had a wicked earthly crown to wear and a cruel cross to bare, before He received his Heavenly Crown AGAIN. Friend, take His passion personally! He did! He loves us all!

Hosea 10:12

Hosea 10:12 “so to yourselves in righteousness, reap the fruits of steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, that He may come and rain salvation upon you”The expression, “break up your fallow ground”, means do not sow your seeds among thorns, i.e. Break off your evil habits, clear your hearts of weeds, in order that they may be prepared for the seed of righteousness.

Matthew 21:9 “The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that follow shouted; “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!” As I think about Palm Sunday, I always wonder how many of these adoring people shouting “Hosanna” would in less than a week be shouting “Crucify Him!”

1 Tim 1:13 The Apostle Paul said “This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”–and I am the worst of them.”Today, we celebrate St. Patrick’s day! Patrick was a man of God! Where anyone got the idea to honor this man by drinking alcohol until your drunk, I’ll never now. Patrick was not even Irish. He was captures by Irish pirates from his home in great Briton when he was 16. During his captivity the Lord began to call him. God told him that he would return home soon and he did. He got his Christian training He returned to Ireland years later as a Christian Missionary. This began a 100 revival in Ireland! He said, like Paul, “I am Patrick, a sinner, most uncultivated and least of all the faithful and despised in the eyes of many. […]

Prayer

James 5:16 “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” If I seek God with all my heart, mind, soul, and my spirit then my whole heart, mind, soul and spirit will be in every prayer to Him!

Prayer

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.I am so amazed that The One True, Holy, and All Mighty God has given each of His loyal subjects, servants, sons and daughters the indescribable privilege of having a Mount Sinai encounter as often as we desire. Sadly, very few experience these encounters for lack of desire, knowledge, or faith!

Dr. Martin Lloyd Jones said; “Prayer is beyond any question the highest activity of the human soul. Man is at his greatest and highest when upon his knees he comes face to face with God.”

Matthew 25:21
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
1 Corinthians 2:9
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Sometimes as Christians were concerned about what we have to give up for God and not the great blessing we have in just being His! If you have Jesus, you have everything! We have our big sale today. We will have many people here at the store. Our staff has work hard in preparation for this. Please pray that the Lord will bless and honor our efforts for His glory!

Prayer

We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants to be our first line of defense. We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all.

Count others better

By |March 10th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.”Christianity is all about love! Love of God! Love of our brothers and sisters in Christ! Love everyone else, friend and foe! The most critical of others, are those with too high opinion of themselves.
