Tend your Light

Colossians 4:5–6 “Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Believers are living in a dying world among lost people! We are called to be a light to those in darkness. If you could sit back and watch yourself through the eyes of those who see you daily, would they see Jesus in your words and actions? It has been said, “this world is not looking for another definition of Christianity, it’s looking for a real demonstration of Christianity! Tend you light my friend!

God’s Word

Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.” God’s Word has power not of this world! His Word is spirit (John 6:63) and can overrule and arrest the spirit of your problems. It can cut through the hardest evil heart and change it from stone to flesh. When witnessing, don’t use your own words, use God’s Word! It’s a harvest day today!

Romans 8:11 “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He Who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to live through His Spirit who lives in you. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead can and does dwell in us! With this in mind, what power can hold us down?

Drifting

Hebrews 2:1 “Therefore, I must give more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.”The dangerous thing about drifting is that you don’t know you’re drifting until you have traveled far off course.

We must remain alert and mindful of what we know about the things of God so that we will not drift away from the truth!

Praying with all your heart

James 5:16 “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” If I seek God with my whole heart, my whole heart will be in every prayer. God listens to every request with His whole Heart and I will expect to receive greater things then I asked for from Him!

Lose to Gain

By |February 29th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Matthew 16:25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.
What are you willing to lose to gain All? What are you not ready to hand over to God? So many of us are only willing to give so much to the Lord, but not our all. God the Father, gave His ALL! Jesus gave His ALL! The Holy Spirit gives His ALL! We must lose all to gain ALL!

God has given us his very best. Jesus, His only begotten Son was given for our salvation, freedom, hope, joy, and eternal life. How can we give anything but our best to God? Not as a payment but out of total love and appreciation! One thinks, of course. But how many of us are giving God from our first fruits and only the best? The priest in Malachi’s day were giving God the leftovers. They had no use for blind, Lane, or sick animals, so they give them to God on the altar. God tells them that He would rather that they close the doors of the temple then have them offer these cheap sacrifices to Him.

He is Willing

Luke 5:12-13 while he was in one of the towns, a man was there who had leprosy all over him. He saw Jesus, fell facedown, and begged Him: “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Reaching out his hand, he touched him saying “I am willing; be made to clean,” and immediately the disease left him.
Jesus is just is willing to date to touch us in our spiritual leprosy. Like the poor man in the text, we need to come to the understanding that Jesus is the only one who can make is clean! He is still willing!

Moving forward

By |February 19th, 2016|Uncategorized|

Phil. 3:14 But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Luke 9:62 62 But Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
As believers, we deal with TODAY. Yesterday is a cancelled check. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is CASH. Move ahead! Never backward. Stay on course. March to Zion friend, the way is up ahead!

1 John 3:18 “Let us not love in word or in talk but in deed and in truth.” It’s a great deal better to live a godly life than just to talk about it.
