Study the Word of God

By |July 8th, 2015|Uncategorized|

If you have a need today, the first thing you need to do is get the Word of God and see what it says about your situation. The people perish for lack of knowledge. If we don’t know what God’s promises are, how do you apply them to your lives?

The mind is the battlefield!

By |July 7th, 2015|Uncategorized|

The Bible tells us that we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The mind is the devil’s battlefield. If he can get you believing his lies, things that are contrary to the Word of God, he can keep you in bondage as long as you believe his lies. There are over 3000 promises from God in the Bible. All God’s promises are yes and amen to those who believe. Take God at his Word! Believe what He says! And live victoriously lives over the world and the devil! In Jesus name amen!

And in the midst of this country imploding because of sin, never think that God has in anyway lost His power. God is unchangeable He remains the same. He has never moved away from America, but America has moved away from Him. Oh Lord Jesus send revival that we might come back to the Lord our God!

Faith

By |July 3rd, 2015|Uncategorized|

I am hungry for mountain moving faith. How do we get it? Simply focus on Jesus and fully trust and rely on Him to care for you. Peter walked on the water as long as his focus was on Jesus. He transcended the natural to the supernatural by fixing his eyes on Jesus Christ. Then he began to sink. He took his eyes off Jesus. The waves were no bigger or more dangerous than they were moments before. By keeping our focus on Jesus and allowing Him to work in our lives, our faith will naturally grow.

Paul said “I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” He also said, “I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.” A.W. Tozer stated, People who are crucified with Christ have three distinct marks:  1. They are facing only one direction.

2. They can never turn back.

3. They no longer have plans of their own.

Yesterday I preached on the two paths of which we are all on one. The broadway that leads to destruction where most are on, and the narrow way that leads to God and few find it. Archbishop Fulton Sheen said years  ago, “America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance-it is not. It is suffering from tolerance. Tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our country is not nearly so overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broadminded.” Lord give us the mind of Christ!

Woe upon America

By |June 27th, 2015|Uncategorized|

It is so sad to see how far this country has fallen. The true followers of God have to stand for the ways of the Lord. It will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for Sodom and Gomorrah then for this country. We have been slipping deeper and deeper into devastating sin. But in seven years of this administration we have turned our backs on Israel and now we have embrace the very sin that compelled the Lord to send angels of destruction and wipe out the above mentioned cities. Woe be on us. If these things don’t bother you and you can justify them in your heart one has to question their own Christianity.

Jesus said “If anyone would come after me they must take up your cross daily and follow Me.” Follow Jesus in love, purpose, obedience, sacrifice, method, and humility, all the way to Calvary, every day to die to yourself. Are you living your life today for Jesus, really?

Are you a fan of Jesus or a follower?

By |June 25th, 2015|Uncategorized|

I watched a movie called not a fan, A followers story. It was truly profound. In the church today we have many fans of Jesus. They cheer for Jesus and are glad He’s on our side, but when it comes to following Him and living a life of surrender and obedience, they’re out! We must make sure that we are prepared to take him our cross daily and follow Him!

This tragedy in South Carolina has painted a beautiful picture of God’s forgiveness and love. These dear people in that congregation are showing the country and the world, Jesus. “To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”CS Lewis
